Three players I think have a good future on team friendly long term deals. Giving up three prospects I like a lot and didnt want to trade but made sense in this deal. Didnt want Weaver but it was a necessity to get the other pieces and his contract isnt vastly dissimilar to Ubaldo's.

Like I said in the trade with Blue Sox, Beachy and Corbin injuries killed me. I was All in for this year. With this trade I can still compete for the 4th playoff spot this year and I will get cap relief for for 2015 and 2016. This trade will give me about 11M cap space for next year.
I am getting a little bit younger and Diaz should be in majors by next year to fill in Castro's spot (I hope). Plus I am getting top Miami pitching prospect Conley. At the end of the day I can still compete this year and have future pieces.
