Gents and lady,
The start of the season is here. As we prepare I want to bring your attention to a few things, and clarifications as the season is under way.
#1 All Fantrax Rosters and Proboards Rosters must be correct. If player is unowned on Fantrax, he will be considered a Free Agent. If a discrepancy is found on your Proboards Roster, an owner will have 72 hours to fix the issue otherwise a cap or pick penalty will be enforced. Also, all Teams must be under the 25/55 roster limitations, as well as under the $120m cap, otherwise penalties will be enforced. ALL OF THESE STIPULATIONS MUST BE REACHED BY MIDNIGHT, MARCH 30TH.
#2 Clarification for Waivers: Any player can be released and/or claimed. Prospects, if waived, do not carry a cap penalty. This goes for any player under the 150/50 limits. Once a player exceeds these limits, the cap penalty (if unclaimed) is 1/2 the contract. If you drafted a player who has exceeded these limits, but is still a free agent (in my case, Joel Hanrahan), you will be penalized 1/2 the minimum contract, or $250K.
If a team claims a player, he will be moved to the end of the waiver wire. While the order resets at the beginning of every week, any team thats has claimed a player previously will not be privileged to this and will remain at the end of the wire. We will completely reset the Waiver Wire right before or right after the prospect signing period (TBD yet)
#3 There will be 2 prospect signing periods during the year. Dates will be announced soon. But between now and then, no player under the 150/50 limit may be signed as a FA. If a player exceeds these limits in the next 2 months, they are able to be signed to a MLB contract the week after exceeding these limits.
