How was the Fier's bid illegal ? I used the same posting technique as I did with Harang and it was all in one message "Mike Fiers (2yr/1.5 million) 14' 725k 15' 725k" not sure what made it illegal I have the cap and roster space

Add your numbers Matt. 725k x 2 years = 1.45M. You also neglected to post an AAS, which is required for bids (which I can look past if its easy on an evenly split contract). But considering what the AAS for your bids would have been and your contract was not equal. I can't honor the bid. Otherwise I have to honor every single mistake on every single bid from here on out, and I'm not setting that precedent.

The Sabathia contract is illegal. Any average annual salary over $18M needs to be longer than a 2 year commitment.

The maximum salary that maybe offered in a one year contract is 15M
Average Annual Salaries between 15-18M must be offered a minimum of 2 years.
Average Annual Salaries between 18-21M must be offered a minimum of 3 years.
Average Annual Salaries between 21-25M must be offered a minimum of 4 years.
Average Annual Salaries exceeding 25M annually must exceed 4 years in length, max length is 6 years.
