Gentlemen and Amy,
We will be amending a few of the draft rules. Nothing of huge significance will change, but the following rules will be added after being debated by the the last 72 hours.
Amendment #1: There will now be slots on Sunday. Same rules as the other 6 days.
Amendment #2: In the morning when slots are posted, if an owner has not logged on in the previous 24 hours, said owner will be double slotted with their draft pick and can potentially be picked. So if owner B Did not log in since 7am this morning, when I go to do the slots for tomorrow morning it could potentially look like the following:
16) Owner T -- 11a 17) Owner L -- 12p 18) Owner B -- 1p <-------- 19) Owner K -- 1p 20) Owner P -- 2p
come after owner L makes his pick or 1pm (whichever comes first) owner B can make his pack as usual. Since he (B) hasn't logged on in 24 hours, Owner K may also be able to make his selection after owner L or 1pm. Regardless if B make his pick or not, owner P must wait for K to make his selection, or his 2pm slot.
This is all in attempt to keep the draft moving at a pace where we can reasonably accomplish the rest of our free agency periods and set up the Fantrax site. We are not far behind where I though we would be with the draft, but I would not like to slide any further. These rules will go into affect this Saturday.
Any questions, please post and or discuss.
Jimmy

One other suggestion... the last slot for the day should show as 10 - 11 PM... a clear one hour window. That last guy should not hold things up until slots begin the next day. That has caused just as many delays as no-clock Sundays.

i like this and it all makes sense to me. only suggestion i'd have is that instead of "double slotting", just put down owner B above as having "no clock". i think it's the same result, but maybe would result in fewer questions.
also as to red barons suggestion, the last clock is already 10-11pm. you get a 1hr clock so if it starts at 10, it ends at 11. but he is right, some people are still confused by that so it might be worth just writing it down explicitly that the last slot ends 1 hour after it begins (even if that has been the case for entire draft, it does still get asked….).

I'm all for this if it keeps the draft moving.

That has caused just as many delays as no-clock Sundays. That is the case now. All slots lasting an hour long, the 10pm has to make a pick in his slot. The team afterwards may select after his slotted time runs out. The 10pm slot is not the one holding us up. Mostly the guys after that slot haven't picked or haven't been active

Ii thought about this Tim, but I think it may cause confusion by the possibly assumed owner logging on and picking early if he deems he has "no clock". That's why I preferred the number actually assigned to it.
