Today is the last day to post players for Revocable Waivers. Before the list, re-enforcing the following rules about Rev. Wavivers:

1) The Claim order will be determined tomorrow by standings, worst to first. It does not matter who posts a claim first, but determined by the order of the standings. If you win a claim you will move to the bottom of the order.

2) If a player is claimed, the waiving GM can make one of three decisions: Keep him, trade him to claiming team, or allow claiming team to claim player with no return... the latter of the three I want to specify. If you claim someone with a large contract, it can be dumped on you, so you have to plan your roster/cap space accordingly. If you are over on either you have to make corresponding moves to stay under roster and cap limits.

3) Any player that goes unclaimed can be traded to any team by the 8/27 deadline. Only MLB players cleared/claimed through waivers can be traded, as well as prospects under the 150/50 rookie limitations.

Are we prioritizing our claims? If I move to the back of the line after winning a bid, I would like to be able to choose which player I would like to have the highest waiver priority on.

I assumed so, but there is nothing stating so in either post. In fact, in the first post you state "Players will claimed in the order they were posted."

There is some chance that the order the claims are processed in matters, which is probably why that statement is there. Altho it's complicated and maybe not super likely, it's definitely possible, thus the need for a set order of processing.

In my mind, it's either by priority or in order of posting. I think priority would be easier for everyone except Jimmy/staff. Alternatively if the bids are processed in the order that the players were posted, that makes it more straightforward for the staff but a nightmare for bidders. If a team with a horrible record wants a player that was posted near the end of the posting process, they would have to refrain from bidding on the guys posted early to ensure they still have waiver priority.

Just as an example I posted Ozuna before Arcia was posted. Both struggling young PP17 OF with high ceilings, if a team like smokers wanted Arcia more, he couldn't bid on Ozuna as if he won him he would move to the bottom of the waiver priority.

I may be missing something, and to be clear I would be ok either way. Just want to know before I send my claims in.

I think I misunderstood your question the first time Damon. I was not speaking specifically to a prioroty list of "I want this player before this player", but rather the need to prioritize the need to claim specific players. The claims will be processed in the order that the players were posted, so Ozuna would be processed before Arcia in your example. It requires more decisions to be made on the claiming ability of teams. If we did a priority list, I can forsee everyone just reordering the list above with the same 30-40 players worth claims, and that would create a bit of a circus on my end.


I will post the order of the players for claiming direction, and I will also post the claiming order as well this morning.
