The TRP has agreed to allow Wayne, who is taking over the Kernels, the ability to make a free waive of a player, in order to allow the new GM more flexibilty from a cap standpoint and let him drop something of zero or negative value.
With that said, The Expos (formerly the Kernels) will be waiving the following:
OF Josh Hamilton, LAA, $23m-2015, $30m-2016, $30m-2017
Hamilton will not be avialable to be claimed, and will become an unrestricted free agent immediatly, available to be bid on later during the offseason when we go through our UFA period.
