The Utica Blue Sox trade:
OF Josh Hamilton LAA 15: $23M, 16: $30M, 17: $30M P Lance Lynn STL PP-2016 P Danny Salazar CLE PP-2017 MI Joe Panik SFG PP-2018
For
CI Evan Longoria TBR 2015 $11.0; 2016 $11.5; 2017 $13.0; 2018 $13.5; 2019 $14.5; 2020 $15.0; 2021 $18.5; 2022 $19.5; 2023 $13.0
P Jake Stinnett CHC(3.11)
MI/OF Enrique Hernandez MIA (4.11)
MI Wilkermann Garcia NYY (5.11)
Yeah, I got rid of Hamilton. I’m going to miss Panik especially, but the $83 million owed Hamilton is a welcome relief, and between Longoria and the resulting draft picks, I got some nice pieces.

Generals agree. Not crazy about taking on Hamilton's salary, but I may just take the hit and waive him in 2015. I like the pieces I get back and have already moved Lynn and Salazar to pick up additional pieces. I my mind the only piece I really give up is Longoria, who is a stud, but I wanted to move his very long term contract.
Thanks Pete
