Pending the approval of a previous trade, The Utica Blue Sox trade: P Eddie Butler (COL) (Prospect) MI Wilmer Flores (NYM) $.5M PP 2018 to the Peoria Javelinas for: P Chad Qualls $3M 2015 (3.5 M CO 2016) OF James Ramsey (CLE) (Prospect) P Austin Kubitza (DET) (Prospect) I admittedly probably didn't get as much as I should have for Butler, but I like Ramsey a lot and I need a closer for next year. Javelinas to agree. Thanks Scott.

Javelinas Accept. Ramsey was the price to upgrade from Kubitza to a higher ceiling Butler. I'm a bit scared by Butler pitching in Coors, but plenty of road outings to look forward too. I'm fine starting the season with 1 closer and going from there, I need more depth of bats and hope Flores gets a role.

FYI, Javelinas failed to pick up Austin Kubitza last year in fantrax, so when the waiver wire is open, I will pick him off the waiver wire.

Per Free agency rules, if a player is not placed on roster within 72 hours they are placed back into Free agency. Thus I don't believe the Kubitza can be traded. Just saying.

That rule refers to resolving illegal rosters, mine is not illegal.
There is going to be quite a bit of "fantrax" resolution needed after the offseason with trades and free agency. Lots of unwinding. At present we have not been able to add FA through fantrax for quite a while now. So there will be some catching up to do on fantrax.
Not sure I like the "gotcha" attitude Tom. I've always been a gentleman when it comes to rosters and when I notice someone doesn't have a player on their fantrax roster that I know they own, I PM them. It's called good faith and well just plain being a decent person. I don't know if he is missing because of when the season change occurred. But this really should put be an issue unless there is real doubt as to whether or not I own them. Just sayin.

From rule 6. I also quoted the exact line.
Be careful to not exceed your salary cap. If this occurs, the commissioner’s office will send you an email mandating that your team make arrangements to waive players in order to bring the current salary within your team’s salary cap. You will have only 72-hours to do this. If you fail to comply, the League Office will take action and possibly drop your most recently signed player to free agency in order to bring your team under the required salary cap maximum. Or if you sign someone and you don't place him on your 65 man roster within 72 hours he becomes a free agent again. At this point the League Office will notify the league of the player who has recently become a free agent and list them under the area title “Waivers”. The League Office will review each 55-man roster often to make sure you are complying with your team’s assigned salary cap. Remember that player’s salaries do change.
"Or if you sign someone and you don't place him on your 65 man roster within 72 hours he becomes a free agent again."

The context is proboards.

I don't see that in the context.
Again, I do not want to stop this trade, I am only making a point that sometimes its ok to change the rules.

It's also in context to ML FA signings not prospects. The point of the rule is to not allow people to hide salary by not listing a signee on your "proboards" site. No context to prospects as I listed him on my final 2014 roster and accounted for his prospect signing bonus on my proboards page.
This is a non issue.

Now you are turning me. A FA is an FA prospect or otherwise. The intent maybe as you say but the rule does not read that way.

There is a separate section and rule for prospect signings. The rule refer to is in a section that makes reference only to ML contract free agent signings. Prospects arnt eligble for contracts,
