Pending the Keys' deal deal with Braves and the Pelicans' deal with  Kernels,

The Keys trade OF Carlos Beltran 15: 15mil, 16: 15mil

to the Pelicans for

MI Marco Scutaro 15: 6mil

CI Jomar Reyes prospect

I think Beltran will have a solid year left in him. But after reading more about the Orioles, I think that Pearce will definitely have a starting gig and hopefully perform like he did last year. That would make Beltran kind of surplus so I wanted to move his salary. I also am partial to Marco Scutaro because I like how he plays the game and think Reyes has loads of potential.

I Accept. I needed an extra OF and I think Beltran still has something left in the tank. He will be worth the final two years on his contract and the extra 9M in salary I am taking on. Scutaro is a good player, but I am not sure how much playing time he will get next year and Jomar Reyes has potential, but is about 5 to 6 years away.
