Future Year Player Draft will start Wednesday November 12th. The draft will begin at 9am est:
The first round will be slotted at 3 hours / pick (so 9a, 12p, 3p, 6p, and 9p).
The 2nd-5th rounds will be slotted at 2 hours / pick (9a,11a,1p,3p,5p,7p,9p)
couple of quick refreshers:
- #1 importance to me, as a fun league, we will be taking a few days off during Thanksgiving (26-28th of NOV). This does not mean picks can't be made, but rather there will be no scheduled picks.
- Starting on the 12th, calculating the slots out, we should be completed by December 7th. Before the craziness of the holidays. That will give us about 4 weeks before the Restricted Free Agency Period works.
- Regarding the slot process, a team can make its selection if 1) it is currently on the clock as the scheduled slot or 2) the team slotted before them makes their selection. For those of you that were here for the inaugural draft, this is the same exact process used before.
- If a team is "skipped" because they did not pick within their slotted time, they may make their pick at their earliest convenience.
- Do realize that if you miss your slot, a team slotted after you may select your top prospect remaining. IF YOU FEEL YOU WILL MISS YOUR SLOTTED TIME, you may send a list of players (prioritized please) to one of the LMs for your next selection. We can then make your selection during your slotted time, so that the risk is eliminated of you missing out on a player you really like. Because there is a set order and no trading, this should be easily achievable when necessary.
The order is listed below. I will post all 5 rounds of picks, with slots by Monday Nov 10th at the latest (this is my wedding anniversary, so I have to be a bit nimble working my time that day). But for now this should give you all the ability to plan well for your draft
