Blue Sox claim Nick Martini. Spirits waiver claim denied based on last year's standings (the new tie breaker). Tigers no longer responsible for Martini's contract.

In a very late news (sorry this came during the Corona shutdown, etc), Miguel Castro has been claimed by the Modesto Nuts. Tigers no longer responsible for the salary. Senators and Aqua Sox placed claims but were higher in the reverse waiver order.

Saints claim Colin Poche. Tigers no longer responsible for Poche's contract. Blue Sox claim denied based on last year's standings. PP-2024 for contract because Poche did not pick up a baseball last year.

PP-2024 for contract because Poche did not pick up a baseball last year. I'm confused by this. I didn't put in a claim (which I wouldn't have won anyway, fwiw) as I thought non-tenders were released straight to free agency, rather than being available for a waiver claim.

I think at this point in the offseason it is too late for non-tenders where you wouldnt have to pay the penalty for 2021

Nuts is right, it is too late in the off-season for non-tenders, especially for a team that's been around all winter. However, non-tenders are eligible for claims, and I have awarded them in the past. There is no legitimate reason that a non-tender shouldn't be eligible for waiver claims. Just because the team isn't getting charged does not mean another team shouldn't be able to claim them.
