Is there a spreadsheet showing who is on what team? Both the Lake County Captains and myself (Louisville Bats) show that Corey Knebel is their respective rosters. Is there some way to tell who actually owns Knebel?
I just "traded" him to Peoria Javelinas, so a quick determination would be appreciated so I know if we have to re-negotiate my recent trade.

in most cases, whoever owns the dude on fantrax should be the owner. not to say that's 100%, but some of the old managers became a little lax in updating proboards, but usually trades got processed on fantrax the right way. if you wanted to tell for sure, i guess you'd have to find out the round he was drafted (there is a pick by pick list in league news that sand gnats prepared), then go to that round in the actual draft and see who picked him. and from there trace his lineage (either by trades or if he was waived). that's technically the proper way, but again practically speaking fantrax should usually be correct.

Very quick issue to solveā¦. Knebel was drafted twice in the 27th round by the Captains and the 40th round by the Bats. However, the Bats GM was informed that Knebel was unavailable to be picked. He just never repicked the selection, assuming that Knebel was his to keep.
Basically Rick, your trade will have to be reworked and you forfeit the rights to Knebel (since they technically were not yours anyway). We dearly apologize for the inconvenience.

Max, the deal was already reworked I know. I just wanted to make sure a reason was found.

Yea, I went back and found the Inaugural Draft results and saw that he was drafted by the Captains in the 27th round and the Bats did not pick him until the 40th round, and his subsequent pick had also been picked earlier and that he never picked a replacement player.
I understand that is the way it is and have moved on, reworked the deal with the Javelinas and are good with it.
But thanks for getting back to me with the information.
